I’m Millie, a seven-year-old girl who enjoys snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing and climbing, amongst other things.
Most of my time is spent practising my snowboarding freestyle (I’m already better than Dad).
Bring on the adventure – I’m always ready!
I first picked up a snowboard on Boxing Day 2022, so I have been snowboarding for one year but in that time, with my family’s support, I have advanced to freestyle and park jumping.
After learning the basics, I joined a freestyle academy where I have been working on my technique. I have made lots of new friends and feel part of the community.
Even when I’m not on the slope, I have been using my balance board at home to see how long I can stay on for which is lots of fun.
I love skateboarding, and it has taught me valuable life skills. I enjoy discovering new skateparks and watching skate videos.
The support and encouragement from the community is also amazing. I hope to inspire others to take up skateboarding!
This year, I discovered surfing and fell in love with the thrill. I’m hoping to get back to The Wave in Bristol soon.

I love climbing both with a rope or clip and climb. It’s so much fun and challenging.
The blue wall is my favourite because of how high it is with lots of grips, so I can always find a different way of climbing to the top.
Hopefully, soon, Dad will be qualified for roping so that we can visit the climbing centre more regularly.
Climbing is an excellent activity as I get to do it with my whole family and sometimes even get to help my sister Boarding Scarlett who also loves to climb.
